Privacy Policy

DisputeTheCharge collects only the information necessary to operate this service and does not sell personal data.

What we collect

When you generate a dispute letter, we store the inputs you provided (bank, scenario, descriptor, and amount) along with the generated letter text. This enables outcome tracking and the escalation flow. Letters are associated with the email address you provide at purchase. If you are signed in, they are also linked to your account.

Analytics

We use simple in-house analytics to understand which features and pages are useful. We track an anonymous session ID (a random cookie valid for 90 days), the pages you visit, and the tools you use. We do not use third-party analytics providers such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel. We do not track your IP address or build profiles of individual users. Aggregate usage data helps us improve the tools — that is all we use it for.

Cookies

We set one first-party analytics cookie, mc_anon_sid, which contains a random identifier with no connection to your identity. It expires after 90 days. If you sign in, a separate session cookie is set. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
